Terms of Use

Effective date: 11 August 2026 · Version 1.0

1. Who we are

Talpyn (the “Service”) is an online mathematics learning service available at talpyn.com, operated by Codo LLP, a limited liability partnership registered in the Republic of Kazakhstan (Business Identification Number 170440018644), with its registered office at 2B Bauyrzhan Momyshuly Ave., premise 4, Astana 010010, Kazakhstan (“Codo”, “we”, “us”).

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are an agreement between Codo and the adult who creates an account or purchases a subscription (“you”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.

2. The Service

Talpyn provides a subscription-based mathematics course for school students: interactive theory, adaptive exercises and progress tracking. The Service is educational; it supplements, and does not replace, school instruction. We do not promise any particular school grade, exam score or admission outcome.

3. Accounts and children

  • Subscriptions are purchased by an adult (a parent or legal guardian, or an adult learner). You must be at least 18 years old to purchase.
  • A student account for a child may only be created or authorised by the child's parent or legal guardian, who remains responsible for the account.
  • For children under 14, verifiable parental consent is required before the child's account becomes active, as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • You are responsible for keeping account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

4. Subscriptions, billing and taxes

International checkout is not open yet. The clauses in this section describe how billing works once it opens; until then no international subscription can be purchased and no payment is taken.

  • Paid subscriptions are sold through our authorised reseller and merchant of record, Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd and its affiliates). Paddle handles checkout, payment processing, applicable sales taxes (such as GST/HST) and billing security. Purchases are additionally subject to Paddle's buyer terms presented at checkout.
  • Displayed base prices are in US dollars; Paddle converts them to your local currency at checkout where supported. The charge on your card statement appears as PADDLE.NET*.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) until cancelled.
  • You may cancel at any time with effect from the end of the current billing period, using the subscription management link in your receipt emails or by contacting support@codo.kz. Cancellation stops future charges; already-paid periods remain active until they expire.
  • Refunds are handled through Paddle in line with its refund policy and with the consumer protection law that applies in your country of residence. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that consumer law grants you and that cannot be contractually waived.
  • We may change subscription prices; changes apply from your next billing period and we will notify you in advance by email.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to: share account access beyond your household; copy, scrape, resell or redistribute course content; reverse-engineer or disrupt the Service; upload unlawful content; or use the Service in a way that harms other users or our infrastructure. We may suspend accounts engaged in such conduct.

6. Intellectual property

The Service and all course content – texts, exercises, interactive models, graphics and software – are owned by Codo or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. Your subscription grants a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access the content for private, non-commercial learning during the subscription period.

7. Availability and changes to the Service

We work to keep the Service available and improve it continuously; content and features may change over time. Short interruptions for maintenance can occur. If we ever discontinue the paid Service entirely, active subscriptions will be refunded pro rata for the unused period.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is”, and our total liability to you for any claims arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including under the Australian Consumer Law and other applicable consumer protection statutes, or liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may terminate or suspend access for material breach of these Terms; if we do so without cause, we will refund the unused portion of a prepaid period.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced by email or in-product notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance; if you do not agree, cancel before the changes take effect.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you habitually reside, which continue to apply to you as a consumer.
