# Talpyn

> Talpyn is an online school-mathematics course sold by subscription: interactive theory,
> adaptive exercises and mastery-based progress a parent can see. Built and operated by
> Codo LLP (Kazakhstan), used in Kazakhstan and offered internationally in English.

Talpyn (talpyn.com) is a web application for learning school mathematics. A family
subscribes, a student works through the course at their own pace, and a parent can see
what was actually mastered. The learning content is written in Kazakh, Russian and
English; English is the language the course is authored in first.

- School students learning mathematics, roughly ages 9 to 16
- Parents, who choose and pay for the subscription
- Families comparing online mathematics courses, in Kazakhstan and internationally

## How learning works

- Content is organised by concept and mastery, not by school year: a student starts
  where they actually are, and moves on when a concept is understood
- Interactive theory with visual models the student can manipulate, not static text
- Exercises adapt to the current level; a wrong answer is met with an explanation of
  the underlying misconception
- Optional gamified layers: quests and math duels between students
- Parent-visible progress; no advertising anywhere in the product

- Kazakh (kk), Russian (ru), English (en)

## Subscriptions

- In Kazakhstan: sold inside the application, in tenge, through a local acquirer
- Internationally: priced in US dollars (25 USD per month, 250 USD per year) and to be
  sold through Paddle as merchant of record, which will handle checkout and applicable
  taxes. International checkout is not open yet; the pricing page states what the plans
  will cost.

## Children's data

- A student account for a child is created or authorised by a parent
- For children under 14 the account activates only after verifiable parental consent
- No behavioural advertising, no sale of personal data, minimal collection by design
